Resolving Account Infrastructure Issues for an Interior Design Business

Client: Independent Interior Design Professional (Referral Project)
Project Type: Social Platform Infrastructure Troubleshooting
Timeline: Short-term engagement (single-project support)
Platforms: Facebook & Instagram (Meta Business Suite)

The Situation

I was referred to an independent interior design professional through a connection at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Kansas City Homes.

The referral came after I had successfully resolved large-scale account connectivity issues within a real estate brokerage environment.

The interior designer was experiencing technical challenges with her Facebook and Instagram accounts, specifically related to account ownership and connectivity. These issues were preventing her from managing her business presence effectively and limiting her ability to maintain consistent social media activity.

Because platform infrastructure problems can quickly interrupt visibility and communication, resolving the issue efficiently was a priority.

The Challenge

The primary challenge involved diagnosing and resolving connectivity issues between Facebook and Instagram accounts that were not properly linked within Meta’s business infrastructure.

Common complications included:

  • Misaligned ownership permissions

  • Disconnected business assets

  • Limited administrative access

  • Inability to manage accounts from a unified dashboard

These types of issues often require technical navigation, documentation verification, and communication with platform support.

The Strategy

Using my prior experience resolving similar issues at scale, I applied a structured troubleshooting approach to identify and resolve the problem efficiently.

1. Audited Existing Account Infrastructure

Reviewed the current account setup to identify where disconnects existed between:

  • Facebook Business assets

  • Instagram account connections

  • Administrative permissions

This audit allowed me to pinpoint the root cause of the issue rather than applying temporary fixes.

2. Reconnected Platform Assets

Implemented corrections to properly link accounts within Meta’s ecosystem.

This included:

  • Verifying account ownership

  • Updating permissions

  • Reconnecting Facebook and Instagram assets

  • Ensuring proper Business Manager structure

These changes restored functional control and simplified ongoing account management.

The Results

The project successfully restored platform functionality and improved the client’s ability to manage her social media presence.

Key outcomes included:

  • Reconnected Facebook and Instagram accounts

  • Restored full administrative access

  • Simplified account management workflow

  • Enabled consistent use of business tools moving forward

Most importantly:

The client regained confidence in managing her digital presence without ongoing technical barriers.

The Real Impact

Although this was a short-term engagement, it reinforced the value of specialized platform knowledge.

This project demonstrated how technical expertise—often built behind the scenes—can become a trusted resource through referrals.

It also highlighted the importance of maintaining clean, connected infrastructure to support long-term marketing success.

Sometimes the most valuable work happens quietly—by fixing what others can’t.
